Pyrmont - 25 November 2021

What a joy it was to finally get together. And as we slipped back into the comfort of each other's company, it made the time since our last gathering seemed like yesterday.

A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

Pyrmont - 24 June 2021

Just for the record - it didn't happen. Bloody Covid!

On a different note, the new buildings on the old AGC, Epping site are looking quite impressive:

Epping update

This follows past posts that dealt with the demolition of the former "AGCentre" building at Epping.

Some interest was shown in it at last week's lunch, so here is what the site looks like today (viewed from the corner of Langston Place and Pembroke Street):

Completion of "The Langston" is due at the end of this year, and you have to wonder how much longer the row of shops along Langston Place will last.

Woy Woy - 25 February 2021

After a year - and what a year! - we finally managed to get together. And where better than at Woy Woy.

Covid-19 restrictions didn't get too much in our way, and things were pretty much as usual. One improvement for some was that the pub now sells Guinness in pints.

Numbers were a little down; caused, in part, by mishaps involving a ladder fall and a lost phone suffered by the two Nevilles.

An Alternative - May 2020

As many will know, a number of our Guinness-loving members assemble most Thursdays to have lunch, drink Guinness and tell a few lies.
Denied that pleasure by the Covid-19 pub and club closures, they did the next best thing via Skype last Thursday.

Cheers!

Woy Woy - 27 February 2020

Rob McPherson did his usual good job of mustering the troops for our traditional first-of-the-year gathering at Woy Woy.
It was a great day despite the absence of Guinness on tap (shock, horror!) which saw wine consumption above normal levels. And it wasn’t quite the same without Athol who had an unalterable specialist appointment.
Here’s to the next one!

Pyrmont - 28 November 2019

Our last gathering for the year was no less enjoyable than all the others.
Note the different location - on the 1st Floor - not so many steep steps!
Overseas and other travel took its usual toll on our numbers but to counter some of that we had the pleasure of seeing Graham Curd who is down on leave from Singapore. And it was good to see Nev Bayliss after his absences while travelling.
A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
