Christmas 2012

Christmas came early for the 1925ers this year, with a lunch held on Thursday, 22 November at P J Gallagher’s Hotel, Drummoyne.  It proved to be a good choice of venue.

A special visitor was Dave Ginnane who came down from Queensland to join us. Good to see you Dave.  Another welcome visitor was John Salamonsen (ex Westpac).

Sadly, one of our stalwarts, Roy Whittaker, was unable to join us - he is seriously ill in Ballarat Hospital. Get well soon mate.

And it was good to see Geoff Street sans tie. Happy retirement Geoff.

A Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year to all.

Look who missed the group shot

Pyrmont - 13 September 2012

Our return to what has become a favourite haunt - the roof level of the Pyrmont Bridge Hotel - was another most enjoyable event.

Trips away, things medical and family illnesses saw the absence of a few familiar faces.  Here's hoping all is well with those involved. And it was good to see the two workers (Geoff & Peter - poor souls) taking time out of their busy day to join the old folks.

Pyrmont - 17 May 2012

Trips away and other, less exciting activities (like a sojourn in hospital - get better soon Owen) robbed us of a few familiar faces at today’s gathering at what has become a favoured venue: The Pyrmont Bridge Hotel. On the other hand, it was good to see Athol looking fit & well after his recent fun and games with the medicos.

Woy Woy - 23 February 2012

As the photo shows, there was an excellent turnout at our first function for the year.

Although held at the tradition location of Woy Woy, this year we lunched at the pub’s Pelicans Restaurant which proved to be a good choice. Thanks Roy.

Among the usual faces it was good to see that of Col McPherson who was down from Queensland.

As AGC’s last official “birthday” celebration was for its 75th, the 1925 Club likes to pay special tribute its members who reach that same milestone. At this lunch, the 75th birthdays of Brian Camps and Owen Knight were celebrated. Well done guys!

Special thanks go to Nev Hine for the very professionally-made photo montages presented to Brian & Owen.

You will have to ask Crum about the significance of the sign.
